Ealing Council Apprenticeship Levy Transfer Scheme

Access apprenticeship training worth thousands of pounds

Grow your workforce. Develop talent. Reduce training costs.

Apprenticeships provide businesses with a practical and cost-effective way to attract new talent, upskill existing employees and develop the skills needed for future growth.

Through Ealing Council's Apprenticeship Levy Transfer Scheme, eligible employers may be able to access funding towards the full cost of apprenticeship training and assessment.

This means your organisation continues to employ and pay your apprentice, while Ealing Council may be able to fund the apprenticeship training through a transfer of unused apprenticeship levy funds.

Depending on the apprenticeship standard and level, this support can be worth many thousands of pounds per apprentice, helping businesses invest in workforce development whilst significantly reducing training costs.

What could this mean for your business?

✓ recruit and develop new talent

✓ upskill existing employees through nationally recognised qualifications

✓ fill skills gaps and build future workforce capacity

✓ invest in workforce development without the full cost of apprenticeship training

✓ create progression opportunities that improve staff retention and engagement

Whether you're a small business looking to recruit your first apprentice or a larger organisation seeking to develop existing staff, levy transfer funding can make apprenticeship training more accessible and affordable.

How It Works

You employ the apprentice.

You pay their wages.

We may be able to fund the apprenticeship training.

Eligible employers can apply to receive apprenticeship levy transfer funding from Ealing Council to cover apprenticeship training and assessment costs.

The employer remains responsible for:

  • recruiting or employing the apprentice
  • paying salary and employment costs
  • providing appropriate workplace support and supervision

The levy transfer funding supports the cost of the apprenticeship training delivered by an approved training provider.

Who can apply?

Applications are welcomed from employers who:

  • are based in Ealing, operate within the borough, or can provide opportunities for Ealing residents
  • wish to recruit a new apprentice or enrol an existing employee onto an apprenticeship programme
  • have not yet started the apprenticeship
  • will meet all employment costs, including salary
  • have, or are willing to create, an Apprenticeship Service Account

Our team can guide employers through each stage of the process.
