Programmes to help you find work

Programmes for you

We are working with our partners Shaw Trust and West London Alliance to help you get into work. Whether you’ve lost your job during the pandemic, been made redundant or have been unemployed for some time, the two programmes below can help you develop skills, find and apply for jobs so you can find sustainable work.

Work support if you are receiving benefits

If you have been unemployed and in receipt of benefits for at least 13 weeks, you can get help with finding work through the Job Entry Targeted Support (JETS) scheme for up to six months.

The JETS scheme can help you get back into employment, including self-employment, through:

  • One-to-one meetings, helping you to overcome barriers to employment and identify transferable skills to expand your opportunities.
  • Access to a portal, where you can find and apply to jobs, access online courses, training and video tutorials.
  • Job applications, CV and interview advice.
  • Confidence building through developing your presentation and communications skills.
  • Employment skills.

To find out more about the JETS programme book a 30-minute information session, taking place Monday to Friday on Teams.

Work support if you have a health condition

The work and health programme helps people who have a disability or health condition, are long-term unemployed or are disadvantaged due to their circumstances. You will be supported to manage your conditions, develop your skills and start work. The programme can help you find a job that’s right for you through:

  • Help from a dedicated support manager for up to 15 months.
  • Bespoke health and wellbeing services.
  • Direct links to employers and job vacancies.
  • Development opportunities through skills and training partners.
  • An insight in life coaching, employment activity, mental health support, IT training and business start-up.
  • Dedicated in-work support, once you find work.

The programme is designed to help people who have a disability or health condition as per the Equality Act 2010, or are in a disadvantaged or vulnerable group, and have the desire to work and commit to finding work within one year.
